I really messed up in this one by going for the FH, once I was off water it all became an uphill battle that I just couldn’t seem to do anything with.

I wasn’t sure exactly what they were going for (double tc etc etc), but I decided fairly quickly that taking over that central TC would give me a pretty good advantage over my guy. Destiny came in with the siege and things were pretty much decided.

Very close game, I think some people forget that they can garrison inside of towers, he had a couple spots where it would have saved him a bunch of vils/vil seconds.

I don’t think Montezuma realized how far some of his vils were walking for res early on in this one, that must have set him back enough that I could just roll through him with raid after raid.

This map very often just comes down to controlling the gold mines at the right times, such is the case here I think as I manage to non stop raid their major gold production for a while.

Really good game, I think this one would have been mine if I had just seen that gold mine in the bottom corner. My Huskarls that are walking on their sides was quite disturbing to me.

Look at this map, I couldn’t believe how far away my nearest wood AND gold were from my starting point. Bad teamwork on the oppositions part.

Bleh I let my economy slip a little bit in early heroic and it really cost me. I just have to wonder why none of the other guys went with frost for 3rd age seeing as how TA are so important in Norse wars, but ulfsarks tend not to be very useful (due to TA :D).

I really hate it when they get two ox-carts with shifting sands, things get a little bit hairy for me in this one, he takes over just a bit too much land on me and it really starts to hurt.

At first I thought my guy didn’t dock at all it took me so long to find his fishing, turns out he just docked a really really bad spot :D. I think if he had rushed me a bit faster on land I might have been in some trouble, but waiting around with even the few troops he had gave me all the opportunity I needed to mass up my own army.

I played this one a little bit silly at one point, I really should have just taken over the forward TC then concentrated on his forward base rather than attacking his main base. I realized it at the time even, but decided to go against my better judgement anyways :(.

After quickly winning my side of the water I tribute Lytes as much as I can to keep him even with Gloppy, after that it all comes down to map control.

I’m thinking I spent a little too much time worrying about water in this one early on. Losing my ox cart on the main island was a major setback for my economy.

A very quick win on water gives me a big edge. After that it’s only a matter of taking over 1 key point on the map to cause Shock to have no chance at getting gold.

I made a big mistake in this one by not building an extra ulfsark. Had I been smarter in this one we could have easily won both sides of the water, as it is I spent too much time getting down to gabriels side of the map to be of much help. I could have probably gotten away with just donating him wood/gold to build more ships, but I would have been much better off with 2 ulfsarks to help him faster :(.

Pretty good game, goes from a 3v3 to a 2v2 to a 3v2 and then finally the game freezes up :(. My econ was running a bit lean towards the end which might have been a deciding factore, but I was working it up again. Worth a watch probably.

I go for a different aproach to water warfare with thor, getting both the attack and pierce upgrades very very quickly. I’m not sure if this would be a good idea on Medit, but I’ll give it a shot sometime.

A good water battle that a little bit of micro helps decide. I think his god choices were a little bit poor in this one, flaming weapons doesn’t make sense vs. another norse who has access to frost.

Wowowow what a game. I don’t know if it translates into as fun of a game to watch as it was to play, but it sure was a blast trying to stay alive in this one. If you like Zeus check out Generals use of manticores. This game shows why they just aren’t always worth it to mass due to the fact they cost 5 pop which just eats up his entire military force for too long.

House music just got left alone a bit too much in this one, the other big problem was that Slav Knight plays without using animals excessively while Chromage doesn’t, giving him a bit of an edge.

Bored of the same old map over and over again? this one is kind of interesting and fun to play, it can really lead to some long games though, so don’t play it if you don’t have a little while. On to the game, things look pretty bleak for me and General for a while, but they start to turn around as we push them out of Generals base.

I made a couple of mistakes here, I really should have just killed all those elephants outright and not worried about losing some food to decay. pretty silly of me but at least I learnt my lesson on this one. As for the rest of the game well what can I say…… Set players aren’t that good :). I made a few mistakes but things seem to work out when I’m playing for some reason.

Definitely worth a watch, he surprised me a little with his strategy, and I misplayed it a bit even after realizing what he was going to do. Overall it turns out to be a good game though.

Insanity manages to catch Desi putting up his dock with an ulfsark 2 times which really gives us an edge on water as it’s 2v1 on one side and 1v1 on the other basically. Good thing Desi didn’t forward build vs. me or I would have been in some big trouble in classical.

Pretty close game for a little while, but really he had no chance vs. the overpowered norse on a map like this I think :). Should have cast forest fire at 9 minutes while fighting by his gold mine, I realized it right after the fight happened, but oh well :).

Not a bad game, I go a little too overboard with raiding cav in classical, but things work out ok because he plays it a little to defensive for the most part.

He incidentally doesn’t play random anymore apperently, his last 6 or so games had all been as Set :). He does for a semi fast heroic. As well one of the tc’s on my side of the map is in a corner surrounded by cliffs making it unclaimable.
